My first Kizer. This thing is frickin' awesome! The blade is very sharp and it opens buttery-smooth. I highly recommend it.Beautiful. Works great. Smooth as butter. About the size as expected.Yeah. I remember when Zt and Spyderco used to be the ones making nice knives. Ope.Anywho, included is a pic for size comparison. This is my first Kizer knife, and I am well and truly impressed. The craftsmanship is top notch, with impressive attention to detail paid to every aspect of the piece. The design elements are very thoughtful; from the deep pocket clip, to the thumb studd and the great m390 sheepsfoot blade. It's also great looking with the copper shoulders, micarta scales, and just the right size to get my daily tasks done. This thing has sliced through boxes and rope alike without a hiccup, and shows no sign of becoming dull after a couple months of decent daily usage. This knife is just a pleasure.Like some other reviews the 1st one I received was not what I expected. The detent was so strong that it peeled some skin on my thumb. Basically blister worthy detent. I had it 3 hours trying to break it in with repeated deployment. No luck…I requested an exchange from Amazon (when my thumb said “stop”)2nd one was buttery smooth with snappy deployment, just like the reviews are raving about and the many Youtube videos available. Maybe a bad batch like the T1 but I am thrilled with the one I have now. Beautiful knife, fantastic razer sharp steel, perfect size. Considering a forced patina on the copper but need to do some research first. Some of the results I’ve seen look amazing, at least to me. To each their own though.Advice: if your knife feels wrong, don’t waste the time, just exchange it or return it.Overall a nice knife, however mine came with a satin finished blade, not stonewashed. See my photos.Returning.I have well over 30 Kizer knives from budget to high end, and the Deviant is easily in the top 2 or 3. I got the copper/green micarta version. I found zero flaws out of the box (which is pretty rare). Fit and finish is excellent, blade is centered and evenly ground, ergonomics are good, action is GREAT (drops shut) and it's just a really good-looking knife. It doesn't have the obnoxious jimping on the liner lock (to which there's plenty of access), has an inset deep-carry pocket clip which screws on from inside the liner, and has comfortable dual thumb studs. In fact, I like it so much that I'm considering getting a second one. I would highly recommend this one. You won't be disappointed. The knife itself is great, but the clip is trash. First time in the pocket I bumped the edge of a counter and managed to bend the clip out. Not the easiest fix either since you have to disassemble the knife to access the clip screws. Haven't been able to find an aftermarket clip thus far either....
