It's a great knife, scales aren't proud or shy of the tang, same story with the pins, square edges on the spine to strike a ferro rod or scrape tinder, they nailed the heat treat, while it is 14c28n and doesn't hold an edge for a super long time, it holds it as long as any knife of this steel ive used, it's extremely tough and very easy to sharpen in the field, handles comfortable in about any grip in my fairly large hand, with plenty of room for a larger hand, it's not a heavy knife, so its not a chopper, but the steel does accommodate to being batoned if you have no other options, I like the finish on the micarta for a linen type micarta, while kind of a smoother finish it does offer plenty of grip bc of the shape of the handle, and obviously it gets grip-ier when wet as micarta usually does...the sheath is well made it seems, but only offers for a vertical belt carry, I did make a frog for mine to horizontal carry it...this is my second ember and I've only owned it for a week or so, while most of my experience, less one overnight outing, is with the scandi grind version, it's just as well made and the heat treat is just as good, for the money, I strongly suggest it, and is a great alternative to the morakniv garberg, that is also a fantastic knife, I just wasn't a huge fan of the handle material...I will definitely be buying more knives joker...also seller was on time with no delays
